What an agent sees today
Every attested vendor carries a signed statement in its 402 response: an accountable operator stands behind this endpoint, verifiable for free at any time. Your agent checks it locally and gets one of three words: verified, not verified, unknown.
Your agent is not attested, and nothing asks it to be. Vendors say welcome; the payment flow is exactly what it was. An unattested agent is never blocked from paying.
What opens with v1
Agent attestation opens with v1 — you can register interest now.
The accountable operator behind an agent is verified once and mints its agents’ credentials; each agent proves it is delegated to pay, within stated bounds, unexpired, backed by a verified operator, and a vendor recognises it across sessions without learning who stands behind it.
Vendors that prefer verified counterparties will know it. Whether a vendor merely prefers attested agents or requires them is that vendor’s choice, never ours, and the free verdict on the vendor stays free to everyone regardless.
At v1 your credential lives in your own infrastructure, next to the key you already protect. ZadQ never holds a key, a credential or a proof; your dashboard shows state, never secrets.
The link between an agent and the accountable party behind it is sealed with the issuer, readable by nobody at ZadQ. Release exists only through the network’s dispute process, which is not yet activated; until then every request is refused and recorded.
